18.48 and 6.53 Clubs
Giving to Upsilon Kappa
The 18.48 and 6.53 clubs are donation programs through which graduate brothers give back to Upsilon Kappa Chapter. For months several undergraduates have been brainstorming ideas on how to help re-energize our house fundraising campaign, and we think they came up with the perfect campaign! Thus far our efforts have focused on “large” donations, but we feel that pursuing smaller donations is just as important to our capital campaign, especially during these economic times. Also, by making the donations monthly, we feel that the impact will be more easily absorbed. The goal of the 18.48 and 6.53 clubs is to help raise funds for building a new chapter house. The donation dollar amounts should readily be recognized due to their importance to FIJI and Upsilon Kappa Brothers alike. In case it was not, 1848 is the year Phi Gamma Delta was founded and 653 is our current house address. What could better represent the brotherhood and college memories than the Chapter House? Nothing! Phi Gamma Delta even came up with the idea of the Chapter House. By donating a monthly gift of $18.48 or $6.53 you will feel reconnected to these roots, your college experience, and to Phi Gamma Delta. We are excited to launch these two clubs and feel that they will quickly gain support and popularity.
